TECHNILAW LEGAL COMPLIANCE SAFETY SYSTEM
By reading this document you will ensure that you know what TECHNILAW can offer to you as a
potential client in terms of Occupational Health and Safety. Underneath you find an abbreviated version
of information, page further for detailed notes as per annexure on all aspects described in the abbreviation.
The Technilaw Legal Compliance Safety System is solely based on Legal Compliance in terms of the
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY ACT AND REGULATIONS, Act 85 of 1993, which came into effect and
had to be enforced since 1994
The Technilaw Safety System contains the minimum amount of documentation and only documents
required in the above Act are kept, thus making it an administratively easy task for employees
without “window dressing” and time friendly
The Technilaw Legal Compliance Safety System and all the courses conducted by them, are
approved and accredited by SETA
A very important aspect of Technilaw is that not only are we accredited to assist you with your
Safety System but do your Star grading if required and can do all the courses needed to train
your employees in Safety matters as prescribed in the Act. It therefore
means that employers do not have to “shop” around to comply with the Act but have all their
needs met by one company
Technilaw specialize in the following aspects and services to their clients
- Preliminary audits to establish the current status of compliance in terms of the Act within the company
- A detailed written report on deviations and rectifications needed with reference to specific paragraphs in the
Act for your easy reference;
- Monthly services to assist you with all deviations found, by trained and professional consultants.
The same consultant is assigned to you at all times to ensure that a rapport is built up and
partnership formed with you
- Instrumentation surveys such as –noise, illumination, ventilation and ergonomics
- Training of your employees in all aspects of Occupational Health and Safety either on your premises or in a
fully equipped air-conditioned training Centre on our premises, with the issueing of nationally accepted certificates
- Prepare you, your employees and your premises for actual Star grading if you desire that and/or ensure
that you comply with all aspects in terms of the Act should your premises be visited by any Inspector from
the Department
- Technilaw will assist you with any investigation which result from any accident/incident on your premises or
the premises where your employees work as contractors
- Technilaw will further ensure that all legal documentation which is required in terms of the
COMPENSATION FOR OCCUPATIONAL INJURIES AND DISEASE ACT,
is forwarded to the Workmen’s Compensation without any additional costs on your
side as part of our service delivery
A user-friendly Legal Compliance Starter Kit is available to our clients, on request, which contains all
documentation required to implement the Legal Compliance Safety System, thus saving your company
an enormous amount of Administration by having to duplicate and design documentation
as required in the Act
All inspection registers needed for employees to maintain the Safety System can be supplied, either in
the form of a single sheet type of register or a neatly bound booklet, depending on the
client’s request and needs
To assist Management, a Legal Compliance Checklist is available which guide Management in performing
audits on a regular basis to measure compliance on the side of the responsible employees.
Should a client however prefer, Technilaw can do regular audits
to ensure compliance;
Technilaw offers access to free telephone advice on a 24 hour basis on day-to-day issues. If any company
requires the presence of any of our consultants at any time on their premises, after hours or on a
week-end, for any emergency and or accident/incident,
it will be supplied
Technilaw offer very competitive market related prices with an automatic discount of 2% on all
payments received within 30 days of the service rendered. Special discount is available for large
groups of delegates, combined training, induction training on your premises and contracts for
permanent consultancy services
Technilaw further have access to legal advisors which will be used to the benefit of our
clients when required
The Managing Director is an active member of various institutions thus ensuring that all
National Safety Requirements and/or changes in legislation and policies with regards to Safety matters
are brought to your attention prior to being published
Technilaw will assist you to claim your benefits from the WORKMEN’S COMPENSATION on a three yearly
basis. Very few, if any, employers claim their excess contributions back from this organization,
whether through not being aware or not having time to do so.
This will be done by our experts without any additional costs on your side;
Most of the Insurance companies consider proof of an active Legal Compliance Safety System as
sufficient ground for reduction in
premiums of company insurance/and or public liability;
Technilaw, with it’s supporting outcomes based S.H.E. training programs and consultancy services, provides
management with the essential support needed to enable them to survive the radical changes ahead. Current
legislation places an obligation on all employers to implement and maintain a S.H.E. system at each workplace
and to have access to a source of competent health and safety advice.
Technilaw has gone into a venture with two other accredited companies to ensure that we can offer our clients
accredited unit standard base courses should they require it.
